Obando Church Interior
Obando, Bulacan
(ca. early 1900's)

This photo was taken during the town's fertility fiesta (May 17-19), popularly known as the "Kasilonawan". The women are on the right, and the men are on the left. People in the aisles are in procession and dancing the "Sayaw sa Obando " a march-dance performed by childless couples.

The altar is richly gilded, possibly with silver. There are a number of fiesta floats honoring the patron saints of the fiesta:
San Pascual, Santa Clara and the
Virgin of Salambao.
